Mr Cus Cus Comes To Town

COMING SOON

Using the ‘Lloyd Robinson’ classic ‘Cuss cuss’ as a starting point. ‘Mr Cus Cus comes to town’ is the erasure project of Enid Blyton’s Mr Galliano’s Circus.

The book was found on a walk by legendary producer The mighty Cang. He in turn called Mr Gallagher to enquire if he knew of the book’s existance. It seemed he did not. However after procuring several of the copies, from different decades an erasure project began.

With the advent of the digital mind and it’s keyboard expression as one tangent. Parralleled with the re-emergence of a pre digital band into this new world 'Mr Cus Cus comes to town' emerged.

Mr Cus Cus comes to town uses cut and paste, white erasure, and different aged paper colours and textures from the books own long publishing run. To offer something new to the books journey. Interupting and haunting Enid Blyton’s contentious narrative and racist language.

It is accompanied by a version of ‘Cuss Cuss’. A piece of music that gained a long and rich narrative of it’s own with it’s different versions and musical innovations. To finally square the circle it is produced by the Mighty Cang.

The tune and artwork will be made available together. The pages will be printed on a square silk neck scarf.
